Jagadananda

Jagadananda has been a social activist for about four decades. He is the Mentor & Co-founder of leading development institution CYSD (Centre for Youth and Social Development) a grassroots organization working with the tribal and rural poor in Odisha. Former Odisha State Information Commissioner & Member of the Odisha State Planning Board; he helped steer the bottom-up planning; member of the Civil Society Advisory group at the Commonwealth Foundation; member of the Civil Society Advisory group at the Commonwealth Foundation; contributor to the UN Summit on Social Development (Copenhagen) as well as the UN Conference on Financing for Development (Mexico) and participated at several round tables at the United Nations headquarters in New York; Chair person of the Voluntary Action Network of India (VANI) and was the Chair of Sa-Dhan, the national network of community development micro finance institutions; part of the national campaign on Drive against Bribe using Right to Information, RTI (2007) and National Campaign for Electoral Reform on the voters right to know about the antecedents of their candidates (2002).

Prof Satya Mishra

Prof Satya Mishra, Formerly with World bank as Social sector specialist, MA, Best Topper (Political Science), University of Delhi, & Long stint in the World bank. (Now he lives in the Himalaya mountains as a Spiritual Monk.) He is a Social Development Specialist with over 30 years of experience as researcher, teacher, and development practitioner with technical skills and operational experience in social safeguard and sustainability issues. Areas of specialization include resettlement and rehabilitation, livelihood restoration and food security, community development, disaster management (including community vulnerability mapping, risk assessment and reduction, and preparedness; gender and social inclusion, governance, and policy research and social analysis. Specialties: Resettlement planning and designing; preparatory social analysis and situation assessment, project design and implementation, NGO funding and project monitoring, carrying out studies and preparing strategy notes, building CSO partnership and coalitions, and policy advocacy.

Prof Bibhuti Bhusan Sahoo

Prof Bibhuti Bhusan Sahoo, M.Phil (Political Science) is an eminent grassroots level social worker and a social researcher in tribal livelihood. He also served as a Faculty in Political Sociology in a college under Utkal University and is renowned for his 30 years of professional field work experience in left-wing-extremist (Red Corridor) affected difficult terrain & hilly regions in Odisha’s Malkangiri, Koraput and Rayagada which is the abode of primitive tribals.

Prasanna Hota

Prasanna Hota, IAS Retd served as Secretary, Department of Health & Family welfare, Govt of India and is the chief mentor / creator of National Rural Health Mission (NRHM), the flagship programme of Govt of India, which is the largest mission in the world in in public health by any country. He also served as Country Director UNOPS- NIPI (Norway India Partnership Initiative). He is a prolific writer and is a noted bureaucrat in the country in public health management.
